Policy and Terms Of Service
Otherwise known as "acceptable use policy" or AUP

February 06, 2012
Please read carefully… After carefully reading our policy and terms of service, you can click on the "yes I agree" link at the bottom of the page to fill out a hosting application form.
Our obligation... Internet-Canada will provide our clients with reliable web site hosting on high quality servers with a fast connection to the Internet backbone. A proper balance will be maintained between the capabilities of any server and the number of clients hosted on it. We aim for virtually 100% up time and plan any hardware or software upgrades to take place late at night and we provide a weekly backup service. However, just to put "real world" figures to it, if your server does not live up to 99.9% uptime, your next invoice will be credited by one month.
Privacy Internet-Canada will in no way divulge or share any information about you unless required by law, or at your request. However, unless you specifically request otherwise, we reserve the right to post a link from our web site to yours. We value our clients and their trust in us.
Content All content stored on our servers, or sent by email, must be for lawful purposes only. Material on your site may not violate the intellectual property rights of others. We do not allow adult, hate, violent or racially-intolerant content. This includes anything that is pornographic, obscene, or threatening, or links to such material. Internet-Canada will be the sole arbiter in this matter. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or suspend service at our sole discretion. The subscriber agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Internet-Canada from any claims resulting from the use of the service which damages the subscriber or any other party. Any attempt to harm our servers or other clients is strictly prohibited and all costs incurred by accidental or intentional means will be recovered. Although Internet-Canada has rules covering the content of sites that it hosts, it is not responsible for that content. Any violations of our policy will be dealt with swiftly.
Spam and Other Abuse The sending of unsolicited email including unsolicited bulk email, or spam, shall not be done using or appearing to use an Internet-Canada email account. Internet-Canada will be the sole arbiter in this matter. This is a "zero tolerance" policy and any violations will be dealt with swiftly.
Checking for new email should be done in a responsible manner. Those with "always on" connections that want to automatically check for email should do it no more often than every ten minutes.
Spam and Virus Filtering Incoming email is scanned with a spam and virus filter. While we go to great lengths to protect you from either, we are not responsible for loss if any legitimate email if it is tagged as being spam or containing a virus.
Payment Terms Hosting and domain name registration fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable. All invoices are in PDF format and sent by email. The initial hosting and / or domain name registration invoice is payable by credit card upon receipt. Subsequent invoices may be paid by cheque or credit card. Payments by cheque must arrive two weeks before the due date to avoid an interruption in service. We do not accept post dated cheques except by prior arrangement. Invoices will be sent to the contact person by email approximately 30 days before the end of the hosting term. Accounts not paid on time may be suspended or deleted. It is entirely at the discretion of Internet-Canada as to whether or not there will be a grace period for unpaid accounts. There will be a $25 charge for NSF cheques.
Delinquent Accounts If your is overdue or becomes suspended for any reason, there will be a $25 reinstatement fee. This fee and all outstanding amounts must be paid before your account will be reinstated.
Contact Information You must have a valid email address to receive setup instructions and invoices from us. It is your responsibility to advise us of any changes to your street or email address.
